In Year 3 we learn many new and exciting things. Although we work hard, we also have lots of fun.
Some of the topics we study are:
Heroes and Villains - Investigating real life heroes and their work to help our world.
The Stone Age - We go on a trip to learn more about the era and we may even be lucky enough to meet a stone man!
Flow - We study rivers and the geographical elements of them. We also write stories about travelling down a river.
Scrumdiddlyumptious - We delve into the world of the delicious when we look at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and explore a variety of foods.
Mighty Metals - Hunting metal is our favourite thing to do in this topic. We read the story of The Iron Giant and discover how he is a real hero.
Exploring Greek Myths and Legends is exciting as we find out all about the famous stories that surround them.
In science, we have fun with forces and magnets and become experts on plants, animals, light and rocks. As well as this, we learn about famous scientists and inventors.
We also study English and Maths, which often involves a lot of discussion and sharing of ideas. We love to read in Year 3 and we recommend books to each other to read.
Year 3 are not only busy in the classroom but also out of the classroom! They get involved in a variety of sports and compete against other schools.
