Year Five represent St Joseph’s in National Maths Competition
Four pupils from our Year Five class have competed against over 300 teams across the UK for a National Maths Competition.
The pupils took part in the National Young Mathematicians' Awards last Wednesday (15 January). The pupils took part in a challenge in the hopes of winning a place in the final. Three teams from all those who competed will be picked to go through to the final later this year.
Our St Joseph’s team worked well together to complete the challenge in good time. However, the challenge was more about how well they worked through the problem and not about speed. Adults attending were not allowed to help them in any way at all.
We will find out whether or not they have made it through to the final in the coming weeks.
